Training Facility

Our New York State Registered Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program maintains and operates a state-of-the-art training facility. Through our continuous recruitment process, we accept applications for apprenticeship from individuals who meet the minimum qualifications. Applications are reviewed, and qualified applicants are interviewed and evaluated. Upon selection and appointment to the five (5) year program, an apprentice must complete a minimum of 150 hours of classroom-related instruction per year, and a minimum of 8,000-10,000 total hours of on-the-job training to graduate and become a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker. Apprentices “earn while they learn” with scheduled wage increases based on a graduated scale.
The Trade includes heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, architectural sheet metal, industrial sheet metal, kitchen equipment, specialty stainless steel work, custom fabricating, service, siding and decking, testing and balancing and energy management and maintenance.
